Photo ID Required
Under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013, we are required to verify the identity of all sellers. Please bring a valid photo ID (driving licence or passport) every time you sell scrap metal. We cannot buy metal without verifying your identity.
Items We Cannot Accept
For safety and legal reasons, we cannot accept the following:
- Gas cylinders (unless fully decommissioned with holes drilled)
- Asbestos or asbestos-contaminated materials
- Radioactive materials
- Ammunition or explosives
- Pressurised containers
- Clinical or hazardous waste
- Fridges and freezers
